The summertime is a prefect time to head to the beach, enjoy a little sun, and enjoy a Crabby Melt Sandwich from Grilled Cheese & Co.

Grilled Cheese & Co. is located in Cantonsville, a Baltimore suburb. They have build quite a niche for themselves by presenting original and creative grilled cheese sandwiches.

Their premium sandwiches run a wide gamut. For "lighter" summertime munching their new Sedosa sandwich is a real treat. Grilled chicken sandwiched between avocado salad, black bean spread, cilantro creme on freshly grilled ciabatta.

Philadelphia is certainly known by the legendary Philly Cheese Steak. But many locals prefer the sandwich without cheese-whiz!

Johns' Roast Pork has been dishing out this cheese steak alternative for years (since 1930!) and has built up quite a cult following among the locals. The roast pork is totally home made, using only the very best top-choice prime pork, and they bone and remove the meat right in the store!

Make sure to order the large version of the sandwich as the bread experience is a lot better. The small is served on a plain round roll, while the large is served on a more traditional long roll which is a lot tastier. To be official you need to add provolone cheese.

Just s stone's throw from the White House lie's Earl's Sandwiches, featuring homemade soups and, of course, sandwiches!

For me (a carnivore) nothing beats either "The Roasted Earl", it is thinly sliced pork loin, with roasted green pepers and a garlic mayonaisse or the "PorK and Fries", roasted pork with chipotle mayonnaise, sweet pickle, chopped onlion, roasted green peppers and french fries between two pieces of toasted ciabatta bread. Wow!

Anyone from the DC area around that can report on "BGR The Burger Joint". Based on the look of their website the are providing a heck of a burger. Check it out at http://www.bgrtheburgerjoint.com. The photos are unbelievable.

They have locations in Bethesda MD, Alexandria VA and Washington DC.

They even have a 15.4 pound burger, I doubt if you can "supersize" that one!
