The actual hot dog is a blend of beef and pork. Sonic believes that this product is reminiscent of summer picnics, baseball games and family gatherings.

Many Sonic locations around the country have reported long lines (30+ minute waits) as word of this new product have spread.

This is another fast-food project that is proving success in the face of the supposed more health conscious Americans. The Footlong Coney is listed at 810 calories - with 53 grams of fat.
