• Maid-Rite - Des Moines, IA

Maid-Rite has been serving up its sandwich menu to Iowa for over 80 years.

What is a Maid-Rite? That's easy... it is a loose meat sandwich made of finely ground hamburger. The hamburger is cooked and put in a bun, then served with mustard, pickles or chopped onions. The traditional Maid-Rite can also be upgraded to add cheese, BBQ sauce, chili, bacon, etc. As their slogan says, the Maid-Rite is "too good to be a Patty."

To round out the sandwich menu there are burritos, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, and wraps. To accompany your meal there are fries, onion rings, cheese curds, coleslaw and baked beans. Milkshakes, malts, smoothies, floats and ice cream are also available.

Maid-Rite is like a flash-back to an early era, but very tasty! Multiple locations in Iowa.
