• Bobcat Bite - Santa Fe, NM

They have a menu at Bobcat Bite, but everyone know's that the reason to visit the Bite is for the green chile cheeseburger! It's a thick and rugged hamburger, made from ground chuck and then topped with those famouse New Mexico green chiles and a creamy melted cheese. Melts in your mouth.

As a visitor to New Mexico it was a little difficult to find Bobcat Bite's even though the road it is on was once part of Route 66. Also, it is best to avoid peak hours as seating is extremely limited. I sat at the last stool at the counter, i was just a few feet away from the grill so I had a front row seat to seeing this great chile cheeseburger being created.

Bobcat Bite is housed in a historic building that was originally a trading post, then a gun shop and then a restaurant in 1953. Based on the great burger and the crowds waiting for a table this place is sure to be around a long, long time!
