Windy City Beef - Coconut Creek, FL

Having been transplanted from Chicago to South Florida I am often fantasizing about a great Chicago Italian Beef Sandwich. Here in Florida the pickings have been pretty slim.... until I found Windy City Beef.

This is the closest thing I have found to authentic Chicago beef. The flavor, preparation even the bun is pretty darn close to the real thing. Giardiniera are a must! The restaurant is in a fairly new shopping center and is decorated with Chicago sports memorabilia. Although I have only tried the Italian Beef I have seen others totally enjoying their hot dogs (Chicago style), sausage sandwiches, etc.
They recently added a small bar with stool seating which displaced the few available tables, but now if you are alone you can just sit at the bar. For those other ex-Chicagoans down here or locals who want to experience a Chicago tradition I recommend Windy City Beef.
